ROOTS WHISPAIR DESIGN :

Whispair
Twin Lobe is an improved design over the conventional blower and is
introduced for the first time in India by UNIVERSAL.
A special Whispair pocket is provided in
“ROOTS” blowers, at the discharge end, integral to the main
housing.
The
incoming air is trapped by the lobes and moved through the machine,
as in the conventional rotary air blowers. As the lobes rotate further
the Whispair slot opens allowing a jet of air from discharge pressure
line to enter back into the trapped air area zone. This feedback results
in Equalization of pressure between the trapped air and the discharge
area, thereby reducing load on Lobes and subsequently power saving.
The feature improves efficiency, reduces noise level and increases bearing
life. These are the major benefits for a customer applying ROOTS blower.

TYPICAL PERFORMANCE PRESSURE CURVE :
Performance pressure curve of a Blower indicates the Speed vs
Brake Horse Power characteristics of the blower at the various
operation pressure.
The
intersection of the vertical line drawn at the speed, to the desired
pressure line gives the capacity and B.H.P of the blower.
